I usually don't plug many things on here, but I signed up to a new instant messaging service today and I am really digging it. I found it through an article that stated interested from Google in this chicago based company. I won't post the details in order to give you the important aspect of the software application. The big plus on this new app is that it's a LOCAL messaging service, where you can easily see who is near you and chat away. Since it's relatively new, the software team is online and will soon give you the welcome. Other members are very friendly as weil. Sign up and say hi @: meetro.com

The guy who owns/runs that company emailed me a couple of weeks ago and asked me to blog about his site.
I decided not to after reviewing the site because online chatting really isn't my thing. I couldn't justify saying anything about the service if I didn't really use it.
He's a nice guy I gather from the brief chat I had with him last night. I like the application they need to fix a few things but I think it will grow.
