Buttterflies

Experimenting with color. This has inspired me to do the same with other mediums. I might skip water color paint but I think the colors will look amazing when I attempt this with acrylics.

Easy Path

This drawing was particularly soothing today. I am beginning to pick up drawing more on Mondays. It always does seem to comfort me after the typically long and stressful beginning of the work week. Mondays I feel the need to wind down a bit more.

Young Hero Drawing

I use to often draw super heros and random cartoons. I will rate this one for myself as OK. I had a hard time figuring out what the emblem in his chest would be. In the end I went with my favorite animal the lion.

I played around with some color pencils. I am not fond of the outcome but as promised I am posting my efforts. With luck there will be come improvement.

Drawing Again

I use to draw on every piece of blank space I could find. Napkins, notebooks, receipts, anything I could get my hands on when I felt the inspiration. Even some of my old work notes have doodle drawings on them. I don't recall however when was the last time I committed to paper anything other than words.

I feel the need to bring that aspect of creativity back into my life. I need the practice. I may regret this simply because I know how limited my time is.... I am promising to post at least a drawing a week. Disclaimer: drawings on napkins will count.

Today the AOL homepage posed this picture with the headline:
NEVER WEAR THIS TO A HOLIDAY PARTYIn my opinion as long as you are not naked or offend anyone, wear what ever makes you happy! But I must ask - does anyone even like these holiday sweaters? Is the reason the demand and high sales volume for these items due to grannies shopping for their family? Or perhaps gifts intentionally given to embarrass family and friends. I can imagine a few thinking these are cute especially when spouses and kids have the matching set. I'm not sure I want that family picture protrait. Hey if you do, go ahead and wear that ugly thing!

Charlie Gets A Fur Cut

It has been well over a year since Charles had is fur trimmed and it had grown to a full shag triple coat. I normally cut his fur just as the Spring season begins, since he prefers a short cut during warm weather. Unfortunately the warn weather had not arrived until these past couple of days. Now, Charlie looks like a young pup again!
